Jack Shrode, Construction boss, gives Matt Bickert, from United Bank, his periodic inspection tour.   The long awaited reconstruction has started in the "Hole". This part will join Unit-A to Unit-C again.   This is looking into Unit-A's 3rd floor east-west Main Hallway from the same area.
 
   
Starting the 3rd floor joists.   When this part is solid the old wall on the far side can be demolished.   View from the 3rd floor hallway.
 
 
To help get the space required for 30 new apartments the part above the old kitchen, that was between Unit-B and Unit-C, will go up to three floors.
 		   The flooring goes right around to that new space.
   
Looking east in the Main Hall on the 2nd floor. A lot of new material shows where the "Hole" was.   Still shoring up at the far west end of Unit-A.   It won't be long to where the "corner" will have drywall blocking these pictures. This on the second floor.
 
   
Same as the picture above except this the third floor hallway. The roof is still off.   The floor guys were called in again. This cement material levels and   is fire resistant. That corner is where the old Room 201 used to be on the 3rd floor.
 
   
The old dining room area is now solid. The old entrance doors will stay but will only be for historical appearance. The Central   Hotel logo outside the door will be cutout and saved.   That door went into the dining room. This your last look, because it is now drywalled shut. The dining room will be an apartment.
 
The big supporting I-beams are being boxed in with drywall.
   
Recreating the Lobby's Main Staircase is progressing with new drywall.   From the second floor.   View from the landing at the bottom of the staircase with a lot of the drywall finished.
 
   
The "window man" preparing to prime the refurbished original windows.   This big one bedroom apartment looks ready to paint and to have its kitchen cabinets put up. (Second floor, Unit-B)   The stair way mid way back in Unit-B, first floor.
 
   
The old service worked for the hotel.   But 30 apartments need a lot more.   Galion's Carter Electric has the electrical contract for our hotel project.
