The Northeast corner  

The Northeast corner being pushed over.    

  A loud  sound of debris falling to the basement was heard, but a tremendous cloud of dust shielded the view of what had happened.  Slowly the visibility returned and the spectators could see the Columns were still standing.

        The plan was to save the columns by nibbling away at the bricks above, but it was not to be.
