The hotel was last known as the Heritage Inn and was forced to close on January 7, 1980. The cause was reported in the Galion Inquirer's front page story in their December 29th edition. The Dining Room and the bar, called the Handlebar, were not to be closed at that time. This page will attempt to keep abreast of the progress of the redevelopment of the interior of the old historical building into 30 modern one to three bedroom apartments for senior citizens (50 and up). The first pictures will still be showing some of the damages caused by the neglected roof from the previous owner. |
